Ana Lua and I first met at a local monthly market. I was selling bread, she was selling her pottery pieces. I instantly fell in love with her style, marked by gentle and femine forms. She became a loyal bread customer and, more importantly, a friend. Therefore, I couldn't be more proud to be collaborating with her and creating together beautiful, unique pieces for WildCultures.

Having a designated starter pot, instead of using random jars of different sizes and shapes is quite handy. The idea is that you can fall into a routine and bake intuitively, not always needing to follow a recipe. For that, it is important to know your equipment. Knowing the weight of the pot, its volume, how your starter behaves inside it, really helps when it comes to the baking flow.

A great deal of the joy of baking lies in the process. It is a sensory experience, an opportunity to engage in an ancestral activity and connect to the thousands of generations that have done exactly the same movements before. Using special and soulful utensils, handmade in the same ancestral fashion, is one way of bringing in even more beauty to this process, .

Use & Care Instructions

Although this pot is suitable for dishwashing, we recommend washing it by hand. Simply soak in hot soapy water for an hour and any dried starter will easily wash off.
