Spelt is an ancient grain and a close relative of Wheat. It has a distinct nutty, earthy flavour, intensified in this loaf by the  addiction of poppy seeds. This loaf is made solely with a combination of wholemeal and white Organic Spelt flours.

Unlike the other loaves, this one is baked in a tin. First, you get the perfect square shape that you can fit in any toaster. Second, you get a tighter crumb, which allows you to make great sandwiches to take on a hike or picnick, without the bread becoming soggy or you losing your filling through the wholes in the crumb.
